Service listings on Avito: how to write one, examples for pros

A service listing is not a one-off sale but a shop window that brings in work for months. A client compares five tradespeople in a couple of minutes and writes to the one where three things are clear at once: exactly what you do, what it costs, and that your work looks the way they need. Pick your trade and we will build the frame.

Title — an example of the formula

Turnkey bathroom renovation, tiling — Primorsky district

The first two lines of the description

We do bathrooms and toilets turnkey in 12–18 days. The estimate does not change once work starts.

Price list — as a list, with units

  • — tiling — per m²: … ₽
  • — strip-out — per m²: … ₽
  • — plumbing runs — per point: … ₽
  • — visit and estimate — free: … ₽

Photos that prove the work

  • before and after of one job from the same angle
  • tile joints close up
  • an estimate or contract with personal data removed

Portfolio means real work only. An AI can clear rubbish from the background of a real photo, but a "finished renovation" drawn from scratch is a promise you will not keep, and a reason to remove the listing.

Title: a service, not “all kinds of work”

“All kinds of renovation, cheap” says nothing and matches no search. Clients type something specific: “bathroom renovation”, “tap replacement”, “manicure at home”. The formula for a service is what you do + what is included or who it is for + area. 50 characters fit one service, so different lines of work are better split across separate listings. On Avito the title is written in Russian, as clients search. A title checker is in the chapter Avito listing title.

The first two lines: the main benefit

The start of the description holds what sets you apart from the next listing, in a form that can be checked: a timeframe (“in 12–18 days”), a condition (“the estimate does not change”), a format (“call-out within an hour”). Everyone writes “quality, fast, affordable” — it sets nobody apart.

Price list: as a list, with units

Price is a client’s first question, and a listing without one collects “how much?” messages that eat half a day. Even if an exact figure is only possible after an inspection, give reference points: per m², per point, per hour, “from”. A list reads in seconds on a phone.

Portfolio: real work

Before and after photos of one job from the same angle persuade better than any text. Add close-ups of details — tile joints, straight lines — plus your workspace and tools: that shows how you work, not only the result.

AI is for the text, not for the result of the work

A “finished renovation” or a “perfect manicure” drawn from scratch is a promise you will not keep, and a common cause of complaints and removed listings. Here AI writes the description and the price list; in a photo it can at most clear rubbish from the background of a real shot.

Area, terms and trust

  • Area of work — where you work and where you do not go. A client from the next city over will not waste your time.
  • Terms — contract, guarantee, payment schedule, who buys the materials.
  • Reviews — ask happy clients to leave a review on Avito: people hiring a service look at those first.
  • Reply speed — clients write to several tradespeople, and the first to reply often gets the job.

Build your listing with AI

Describe your work — the AI will ask what is missing and put together titles, a description and a price list in Russian. It uses only your numbers and facts.

One listing or several

If you do different things — say, both bathroom renovation and laminate flooring — separate listings work better than one general one: each gets its own precise title, photos and price list. Writing them in one style and updating them each season is easy with AI — more in the chapter AI for Avito. If the listing is already up but work is thin, find the stage where clients drop off in the chapter no views on Avito. General text rules are in the Avito description, and everything about selling in how to sell on Avito.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write a service listing on Avito?
The title is a specific service, what is included and the area. The first two lines of the description carry the main benefit in a checkable form: timeframe, condition, format. Then a price list with units, what the work includes, experience, guarantees and payment terms. The photos show real before-and-after work, details and your workspace.
What should a service listing say?
Exactly what you do (not “all kinds of work”), what it costs at least roughly, where you work, what experience you have, what guarantees you give and how payment works. Everything a client would otherwise ask in messages.
Should I put prices in a service listing?
Yes, at least reference points: per m², per point, per hour or “from”. Listings without a price collect “how much?” questions instead of orders, and clients more often write to those whose price is clear up front.
Can I use photos from the internet in a service listing?
No. The portfolio must show your own work: other people’s photos and generated pictures of results mislead the client and can get the listing removed. AI is appropriate for the text and for cleaning up the background of real photos.
How many service listings should I post?
One per line of work. Separate listings get precise titles, their own photos and price lists, and are found in search more easily than one general “all kinds of work” listing.
